Zoe, a Shih Tzu- Lhasa mix, adopted us about 6 years ago, when we first saw her at the Connecticut Humane Society in Newington, CT.   She’s smart as a whip, and incredibly affectionate and responsive to boot.  Here she is checking out our back yard.

There’s enough farm and forest land where I live to support flocks like these.  A couple times a year, you’ll get to stop or slow down for them as they cross some secondary road.

Margaret, one of the owners of this classic New England cottage, said that she and her dad would often have their breakfast on this part of the porch, after their morning swim.  It has been in her family since her grandparents purchased it in 1928.
